Vivo in Vinohrady!

From Lonely Planet's "Prague: Encounter."

"Bourgeois Vinohrady takes it's name from having been Charles IV's vineyards, and it still boasts high-ceilinged, Art-Nouveau apartment buildings from when it was developed in the last 19th century. After 1989 it became popular with arty foreign expats. Its touchstones are namesti Miru, restaurant-lined Manesova street, sloping Vinohardska and the hillside Riegrovy sady (park)."

I moved in yesterday and I'm still in the process of transferring all my stuff from Hloubetin...

The entrance:

Common area. Note the fridge: it is painted on. We are under the impression that our landlord fancies herself something of an artist. This washing machine? It'll fit a t-shirt and a pair of socks, but I wouldn't push it.

The balcony - the European romance!
A view down the street.
This place rules.

I had everyone in the course sign my grammar text book. See a theme?
